What does AVG Anti-Theft do?:
If your device is ever lost or stolen, AVG Anti-Theft allows you to remotely track or control it either from the web or by sending text-message commands to it from another phone.
To use AVG Anti-Theft from the web:
- Visit the Anti-Theft webpage from any computer: http://www.avgmobilation.com/anti-theft
- Log in with your Google account: cindystarwale@gmail.com
- Click your desired action:
| To find your device: | Click "Locate" |
| To lock your device: | Click "Lock" |
| To unlock your device: | Click "Unlock" |
| To sound an alarm: | Click "Shout" |
| To wipe all data from your device: | Click "Wipe" |
Not near a computer? To use AVG Anti-Theft by text (SMS) message:
- Create an Anti-Theft password in the app.
- Simply use another phone to text any of the following codes to your lost device:
| To sound an alarm: | Text "AVGshout password" |
| To find your device: | Text "AVGlocate password" |
| To lock your device: | Text "AVGlock password" |
| To wipe all data from your device: | Text "AVGwipe password" |
(For example, if someone has stolen your phone, you could borrow a friend’s phone and text “AVGlock 1234”* to your stolen phone’s number. This would remotely lock your phone to prevent the thief from using it.)
* If your password was 1234.
